Our on-demand Piano Parent Workshops provide parents of new students some basic knowledge to support their child initially.
You will not be learning to play the piano, but you will gain a greater understanding of the process your child is going through and have just enough familiarity to help them practise effectively at home In the first few weeks.
Topics covered in our workshops include:
- Note learning at the keyboard and on the page
- Note and rest values and their terminology
- Posture, arm and finger positions
- How to count (yes, really!)
- How to practise efficiently
Piano Parent Workshops may be taken individually, or in groups.
