Rhythm Cups

Cup tapping is one of the most popular additional activities among our students, providing light relief during lessons and a legitimate learning experience.

Students of all ages soon forget that they are developing and improving their rhythm skills because they are having fun! This is a no-pressure activity beneficial for both pianists and singers: after all, what is music without rhythm?

Using the groundbreaking RHYTHM CUP EXPLORATIONS program from the USA, students learn new rhythm sequences and crazy cup techniques before being challenged even more by increasing tempo options.

During the 2020 lockdown, we had rhythm cup zoom groups online which were incredibly popular.  Later in 2021, we hope to start in person rhythm cup groups to give young NCM students and their friends a fun extra-curricular activity outside of school.
