Yasmin is the lead singer and guitarist in the hugely popular Costa Blanca based band, The Cages. 

She has been an NCM vocal student for many years and, during the 2020 pandemic, she decided to train as a singing teacher to compliment her performing career. She has also designed her own beginner guitar course. 

We are thrilled to welcome Yasmin to the NCM teaching team as guitar teacher and vocal coach in September 2021. 

Yasmin says:

I’ve always loved singing! My earliest memories 

are singing hymns in primary school and then getting in from school and shutting myself in my bedroom to sing at the top of my lungs,  pretending I was on stage!

I joined amateur dramatic societies and soon joined the school band where I decided I wanted to learn guitar. So I took lessons.

When my parents decided we would move to Spain, the 15 year old me was terrified to leave everything I was so passionate about but I soon made a new group of friends in Spain who introduced me to new styles of music. 

I joined a band which landed me the role of front woman on stages around the Orihuela Costa and I forgot all my fears of starting a new life in Spain. 

I now play music for a living and that was always my dream.  

I would love to inspire any student who comes for lessons with me that a passion for music can be pursued wherever you are.
